My gal-pal, Irene - leaving us soon!

Liz, Cole, and Katie with one of our favorite OB providers, Dr. Hui.

Amusement.

I love the expression on Katie's face!

A better view of the L&D centerpiece: Chux pads, bulb syringe, newborn cap, foley bulb, fetal scalp electrodes, cord clamp, diaper, amnio hook, and "big fluffies" - all tucked inside a suction cannister.

I'm not sure if anyone really knows what "big fluffies" are used for - some of us are convinced it's merely for scare tactics / intimidation factor. Not sure how it would be implemented.

Self-portrait.

Cute Jed!!!

The Labor and Delivery table. I think we were the only ones to come up with a centerpiece as requested. I suppose we should have been a bit disturbed by it while eating but hey... nurses can eat through a lot of disturbing things.

I work with a REALLY great team. Left to right: Molly, Carolyn Howard (Howard Sister "A"), Liz, Megan, Katie, Randy, Jenny, Cole, and Eileen.

More drama until you can barely see my head in between the chairs in the pic on the right. Our executive officer was seriously impressed. As a result I'm hoping for an "early promote" when my fitness report comes across his desk. :-)

We had our hospital's annual holiday party on Thursday. This will be my fourth Christmas in Oki and my first time I've been able to attend (and I even traded shifts to be able to go!)

Here we're competing for prizes with another team. We had to come up with a song that included the words "Fraggle Rock, suture, and chicken" to the tune of a holiday song. We chose "O' Christmas Tree, O' Christmas Tree". For a little extra flair we (I) added interpretive dance at the last minute. It won me a iPod stereo dock, LT Hower ended up with an espresso maker and CDR Young ended up with something equally as cool.
