Nita's last night on Okinawa

The Banyan Tree restaurant in Naha. Enter the elevator in the base in the Banyan Tree's trunk. When you exit you're high above the neighboring homes... and have a strange desire to give out a Tarzan treehouse yell.

Nita and I at a really cool restaurant called Boola Empire. Her last week on the island she moved in with me instead of staying at the "bachelor officer quarters" (BOQ). She was a great roommate and I miss her! She's out of the Navy now and starting her residency in occupational medicine. It seems that finding a place to live in L.A. has proven more difficult than actually getting in to her occ. med. program!!

Soon after Jed left (at the end of April) a group of Navy medical took a trip to Iwo Jima. Unfortunately the weather was not cooperating. After numerous approaches we had to turn our cargo plane around as visibility was too poor. The group that went the next day was a little more lucky and have some great pics of the island. The only good thing that's come of it is that it's rescheduled for October and hopefully Jed can also participate.

I didn't realize how long it's been since I updated my page! I've been using Facebook to talk to people and upload pictures... I suppose it's time.
